Who we work for
For pharmaceutical companies we design and supply special machines and equipment to be added to existing lines, to optimise them and reduce downtime: from concept to mechanical and electrical design, PLC software, manufacturing and acceptance testing at the plant. On a pharmaceutical line downtime is expensive, and that is often why we are called in: cleaning systems that cut machine downtime, leaflet magazines serving cartoning machines, equipment supporting production. We also work on other builders’ machines, adding modules and functions and updating automation, software and documentation.
For builders of pharmaceutical machinery we work as an extended engineering team: we adapt existing machines to new formats and design new machines, from which the builder develops the catalogue versions.
For automation system builders we take a process born in the laboratory all the way to the automatic line: feasibility study, layout, station design and visual quality inspection with rejection of non-conforming parts.

Find out moreFrom requirement to line in production
The same path applies to a new machine and to work on a line already running. When the process is born in the laboratory we take it to the automatic line; for trials and acceptance testing we also design custom test benches.
- FeasibilityWe analyse the process and the critical phase and check technical and economic feasibility.
- LayoutWe define the general layout and the interfaces with the line or the plant.
- DesignMechanical and electrical design, machine safety and structural analysis.
- PLC softwareControl logic, PLC and operator interfaces developed in-house.
- ManufacturingManufacturing and assembly at our site in Navacchio.
- Installation and acceptanceCommissioning and acceptance testing at the plant, with the technical documentation.
What we build for pharma
- Powder dosingDosing machines from silos into containers of different sizes, with dedicated adapting equipment and high dosing accuracy.
- Powder blendingBlenders that take the process containers from the front and rotate them at an angle designed to obtain a homogeneous mix.
- Syringe and vial linesAutomatic stations served by SCARA robots, with visual quality inspection and rejection of non-conforming parts.
- Process stationsProcess stations and machines for treating vials and containers.
- Systems for existing linesSpecial machines and equipment added to the line, including cleaning systems that cut downtime.
- Packaging and line magazinesLeaflet magazines for cartoning machines and systems serving packaging.
Hygienic design, ATEX and compliance
We design machines with good manufacturing practice (GMP) in mind: AISI 316L stainless steel parts, finishes suited to the use and surfaces that are easy to clean and sanitise. We also work for cleanrooms, with isolators and containment systems for active powders.
Powders and ATEX environments
Pharmaceutical powders can be potentially explosive. When the working environment is classified as ATEX we design the machine to the ATEX requirements and integrate the necessary safety systems. The most highly stressed components are checked with FEM structural analysis and sized for infinite fatigue life.
Safety and CE marking
We prepare the documentation for CE marking: risk assessment, technical file, manuals and declaration of conformity. Today the reference is Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC; from 20 January 2027 the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 applies, and we help you understand what changes for machines placed in service after that date.
We sign a non-disclosure agreement before going into the details of the project. We are certified to UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 for the design of machines and mechanical components and for technical services for the mechanical sector.
Frequently asked questions
-
Do you work for pharmaceutical companies or machine builders?
For both: we supply pharmaceutical companies with machines and systems for their lines, and we work as an extended engineering team for machine builders.
-
Can you work on a line already in production?
Yes: we design machines and equipment to be added to existing lines, and we also work on other builders’ machines.
-
What kind of machines do you design for pharma?
Powder dosing machines and blenders, stations for treating vials and syringes, systems added to existing lines, line magazines and equipment supporting production.
-
Do you design machines for cleanrooms?
Yes: machines in AISI 316L stainless steel, easy to clean and sanitise, including for cleanrooms with isolators and containment of active powders.
-
Do you design machines for ATEX environments?
Yes: when the environment is classified as ATEX, for example with potentially explosive powders, we design the machine to the ATEX requirements with the necessary safety systems.
-
Do you also develop the machine software?
Yes: control logic, PLC software and operator interfaces are developed in-house, together with the mechanical and electrical design.
-
Do you prepare the documentation for CE marking?
Yes: risk assessment, technical file, manuals and declaration of conformity.
-
Are installation and acceptance testing included?
In complete supplies yes: commissioning and acceptance testing at the customer’s plant are always included.
-
Do you sign a non-disclosure agreement?
Yes, we sign a non-disclosure agreement before going into the details of the project.
