Two ways to work with us
DIMOTION is the DIENGCORP division specialising in industrial automation.
For manufacturers we design and build custom automation when:
- the market has no suitable machine;
- a stage of the process is manual or inefficient;
- productivity, capacity or quality need to increase;
- human error or safety risks need to be eliminated.
For machine builders we are the extended team of the engineering department when:
- the engineering department has a workload peak or a tight deadline;
- new modules or machine parts need to be developed;
- non-standard functions have to be integrated;
- mechanical, automation and software skills are needed straight away, without hiring.

How we work
For every project we assign a project manager who plans the activities and shares progress: development timing and costs are defined before we start.
- AnalysisWe gather the requirements and analyse the process, identifying the critical stage.
- ConceptWe propose a rapid concept and check its technical and economic feasibility.
- DesignMechanical and electrical design, with structural and kinematic analysis.
- PLC softwareControl logic, PLC and operator interfaces developed in house.
- Construction and testingConstruction, assembly and testing in our own workshop.
- Into productionInstallation and acceptance testing at your site, documentation and optimisation.
What we automate
- Assembly and functional test linesManual and automatic stations, with anthropomorphic or SCARA robots.
- Robotic cellsCells and end effectors for handling and format changeover.
- Testing and quality controlTest benches and quality control, including vision systems.
- PharmaceuticalPowder dosing and blending, including ATEX environments, and systems added to existing lines.
- Converting and paperMachines and lines from processing to packaging.
- Oil & Gas and machine toolsCustom machines and robotic automation, 5-axis machining centres and machine tools built to specification.
Safety and compliance
We prepare the documentation for CE marking: risk assessment, technical file, manuals and declaration of conformity. Where the environment requires it, we design to ATEX.
Today the reference is the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. From 20 January 2027 the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 applies, introducing new requirements, including on software and control systems: we help you understand what changes for machines that will go into service after that date.
Frequently asked questions
-
Do you work for manufacturers or machine builders?
Both: we supply manufacturers with custom machines and automation, and we work as an extended engineering team for machine builders.
-
Are installation and acceptance testing included?
In complete supplies, yes: installation and acceptance testing at the client’s site are always included.
-
Do you develop the PLC software in house?
Yes: control logic, PLC software and operator interfaces are developed in house, together with the mechanical and electrical design.
-
Can you handle the design only?
Yes: for machine builders we also work as an extended engineering team, on design only.
-
Which sectors do you work in?
Converting and paper, packaging, pharmaceutical, automotive, Oil & Gas and mechanical and electromechanical industry, with experience also in food, footwear and electronics.
-
Do you prepare the CE marking documentation?
Yes: risk assessment, technical file, manuals and declaration of conformity; where needed we design to ATEX.
-
Do you sign a non-disclosure agreement?
Yes, we sign a non-disclosure agreement before going into the details of the project.
-
Do you work with companies outside Italy?
Yes: from our site in Navacchio, near Pisa, we work with companies across Italy and abroad.
