When you need a custom test bench
An off-the-shelf bench is fine as long as the component and the test are standard. When you need to reproduce real operating conditions in the lab, work safely with moving parts or fit the bench into a small space, you need a bench designed around the component and the test.
That is when companies bring us in: we design the bench, build and test it in our workshop, install it and deliver it with the documentation. Since 2011 we have developed over 1000 projects, and test benches are a steady part of our work.
What we build
There is no single type of test we do more than the others: every bench starts from the test the client needs.
- Functional testsBenches for functional testing of mechanical systems in operating conditions.
- Fatigue testsBenches for fatigue testing of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Leak testsBenches for leak testing of components and assemblies.
- Hydraulic benchesBenches for testing hydraulic components and systems.
- Rotating componentsCompact benches for rotating components, with the operator kept safe.
- Shock testsSystems for shock testing and qualification of sensors and equipment.
- Dynamic conditionsHexapod platform benches that reproduce dynamic operating conditions.
- Failure analysisBenches that reproduce failures of mechanical assemblies in the lab so they can be analysed safely.
- Aeronautical componentsTest benches and special equipment for aeronautical components.
- Production testingCustom machines for in-line testing of components, including vision systems.
Automation, data acquisition and software
The bench arrives ready for testing. We design the electrical side and write the PLC software, build the operator panel used to set up and run the cycles, and the data acquisition system. At the end of each test the bench produces a report with the recorded data, so the result stays documented and comparable over time.
Revamping and modifying existing benches
You do not always need a new bench. We also work on benches you already have: we update automation and software, add new tests or adapt the bench to a different component, and update the technical documentation accordingly.
Some examples
- Reproducing the motion of a weapon systemFor defence: a test rig that reproduces the motion of oscillating masses under controlled conditions for functional verification, from FEM analysis to manufacturing, with CE marking.
- Dynamic tests on a hexapodFor aeronautics: an interface structure to install a system on a hexapod platform and test it under the accelerations and inclinations of a moving vehicle.
- Shock tests on electronic componentsA bench to verify the operation of electronic components under high accelerations, with FEM analysis and CE and PED certification.
- Revamping an existing benchFor underwater systems: reverse engineering and complete revamping of an obsolete bench, with mechanical, electrical and software upgrades, PLC control and data acquisition.
Sectors
Defence, aerospace, Oil & Gas and industry: benches for defence systems and equipment, for aeronautical components, for rotating components and for in-line production testing.

How we work
- RequirementsWe gather and analyse the technical and regulatory requirements of the test.
- ConceptPreliminary design: the possible solutions and the sustainable one.
- EngineeringDetailed mechanical and electrical design, FEM structural analysis and PLC software.
- BuildManufacturing, assembly and testing in our workshop in Navacchio.
- Testing and complianceAcceptance testing, CE marking and technical documentation; PED compliance where required.
- CommissioningInstallation at your site, operator training and support during testing.
CE marking and documentation
The bench arrives already compliant. The technical file, the calculation report and the declaration are part of the supply, not a separate service. Where required we also handle PED compliance.
