When we are brought in
We work with Italian shipyards and integrators on handling large components, structural verification and certification: the equipment we design and supply has to carry significant loads in tight spaces and reach the ship already compliant. They bring us in when:
- heavy components have to be lifted, tilted or handled in tight spaces;
- structures and stands for testing and maintenance have to be verified and certified;
- a handling system has to be integrated on board or into a weapon system;
- existing structures or structural modifications need analysis and checks.

What we do for the naval sector
- Composite hull sectionsEquipment for lifting, demoulding and tilting GRP hull sections weighing tens of tonnes.
- Handling on boardHandling systems for defence materiel, uncrewed vehicles and components.
- Launch, recovery and special equipmentLaunch and recovery systems to the client’s technical standard, diving equipment and countermeasure recovery systems.
- Structures and standsVerification and certification of structures and stands for the testing and maintenance of naval systems.
- Hulls and large yachtsFEM structural analysis of hulls and hull parts, both composite and metallic, and support for the certification of structural modifications.
Compliance and confidentiality
The equipment reaches the ship already compliant: structural verification to UNI EN 1090 and the Eurocodes, EN 13155 for lifting equipment, EN ISO 14122-3 for structures and stands, calculation report and technical file for CE marking. We also work with classification society rules and, for defence systems, to MIL-STD.
We sign a non-disclosure agreement before going into the details of the project. We are certified to UNI EN ISO 9001:2015.
Frequently asked questions
-
Who do you work with in the naval sector?
Italian shipyards and system integrators, on handling large components, structural verification and certification.
-
What loads can you handle?
We also design equipment for GRP hull sections weighing tens of tonnes.
-
Can you check existing equipment or structures?
Yes: where needed we survey them through reverse engineering, carry out the structural analysis and prepare the calculation report for the technical file.
-
To which standards do you carry out the checks?
UNI EN 1090 and the Eurocodes, EN 13155 for lifting, EN ISO 14122-3 for structures and stands, classification society rules and, for defence, MIL-STD.
-
Do you carry out structural analysis of hulls?
Yes: FEM structural analysis of hulls and hull parts, both composite and metallic, also supporting the certification of structural modifications to large yachts.
-
Do you sign a non-disclosure agreement?
Yes, we sign a non-disclosure agreement before going into the details of the project.
